We saw 22 brand new players join our ranks in 2021, which was absolutely spectacular! Sadly, we also tragically lost a longtime 'Souls member, Dread. Thanks for all the exciting adventures and dastardly events that you put us all through this year. We're looking forward to all the things your bright minds come up with in 2022!
Dread
Early in December, 'Souls lost one of our longtime players; Dread had been a member of the forum since 2012. Things were not always easy for them, but they left a lasting part of themselves in those who interacted with them over the years. Here are messages from the community to wish well to Dread's memory.

This is the year I officially joined 'Souls! Enamored by the writing and characters, I simply had to throw my own creations into the mix. I had a couple months of fun - but I not one visited the site during the summer. Now that I am back I hope to be a consistent presence on the forum! <3
If it wasn't for Scott, I wouldn't have rejoined 'Souls. And if it wasn't for Scott, I wouldn't be in a safe, kind, happy place. And if it wasn't for Scott, I wouldn't know how in love a person can really feel. I love you, Scott.

This has been a year where I've truly pushed myself. Reaching a grand total of seven character slots and being active in all current packs, I've loved this year on 'Souls for the many many opportunities I've had to join in on stories! Running Casa continues to be a dream, and I'm honoured to be around such lovely individuals in a welcoming community like this one!
