2019 Yearbook

Mistfell Vale

Mistfell Vale What a year it's been for Mistfell Vale!

2019 was a year of mixed blessings for the Vale and the very first month of the year rather unknowingly set the tone! The Vale went from celebrating a happy marriage and building ties with our neighbours at Cour des Miracles' ball, to being haunted by a strange spectre that possessed a few Mistwalkers.

Spring gave us all a lot to celebrate thankfully, with no less than eight mini-Mistwalkers entering the world and former Starkhelm rising to the newly created rank of Ursarchon. Alas, that seemed to be the calm before the storm, as May brought trouble and tragedy. On the first night, Rum Bridge collapsed thanks to the harsh weather and Genevieve found herself taking a rather unexpected swim! And, unfortunately, it only got worse as young Steinarr is murdered by a coyote seeking revenge...

Summer was a quiet handful of months, a well-deserved break from all the excitement of the previous months, though it was not without its noteworthy events! On the first day of August, the Vale enters a new era as Saga D'Angelo officially takes sole control after the departure of both Felix and Calia.

Autumn saw another trio of mini-Mistwalkers join, though one little soul, Callisto, is sadly quite an unwelcome prospect... In other news, construction began on the Jordheim Paper Mill and a small envoy travels to Casa di Cavalieri to attend a leadership summit and ball. This turns out to be a very fruitful affair, as an official alliance is set in stone between Mistfell Vale and the Del Cenere Gang.

In a shock twist of events, Sedona Whitesage is attacked by a stranger, causing the Ursarchon to call a state of emergency and warn all Mistwalkers to be vigilant. In the same meeting, she pledges that when the spring comes new defences will be built upon the borders.

So, all in all, 2019 has been a mixed bag for the Vale, with plenty to celebrate and enough to mourn.

May 2020 be just as exciting and even more bountiful!

"It made me realize that family is not made of the blood that runs through our veins, but with the relationships we build. Since meeting my mother… I haven’t found the same pleasure in chasing after women. I did not want to become what she was."

“If there was ever fate to try such a grand endeavor, I don't think we'd ever be so prepared as we will be this year. After the rains. Before the snow. That small window when the air is chilled so the heat won't slow us, and the leaves can cushion the logs to keep the stone from faulting,” He was nearly panting with all the excited information he barraged Honrin with, ending his persuasive essay with a delightful little touch,” All we need is men and a Mason, my friend."

”To remember you by?” Falcon asked, laughing under her breath as she took the package, ”You say that like you’re going somewhere. I’m pretty sure we’re going to be neighbors until we’re both… Old...” She trailed off as she unwrapped Sedona’s gift, a quiet gasp escaping her lips. Falcon covered her mouth with one hand and stared at the small, delicate-looking dream catcher in the other.

It was a knife in her stomach. It did not feel like her own knife, but it was the same shape and size it had been back then, back in her dreams.

Her ears flickered as she heard the sound of liquid boiling. “You know, I’m really tired of hearing that phrase from your mouth.”

'I really should stop drinking with strange men.' The Ursarchon concluded with that same weariness, 'Stop drinking full stop.'

“No! No! Lemme go!” The child continued to bark as he was dragged towards the coyote. He bared his puppy teeth, snapping at the hands that moved end over end across his little body to get a proper grip on him. “Glade!” He screamed. “Glade, help me!”
