Cour des Miracles

The year began with water, the rain that swelled the rivers and flooded large portions of the Court. Buildings in Lunenberg succumbed to the torrential downpour and collapsed, pathways flooded, and there was definitely more than one person who were nearly swept away. No one was lost to the flooding. Thankfully, the water dried and the year continued in what seemed like a peaceful fashion.

Tensions had been high with the coyotes of Inferni, but things came to a potent head when misunderstandings arose and neither side was willing to forget. Deception on both ends brought the Court and Clan leaders against one another, leading to harsh words and more than a few dark promises. Higher members of the Court began preparing to fight the coyote menace and conflict was encouraged.

Everything came to a true storm when Inferni seemed to have kidnapped the King's son, Pascal, starting a frenzy to find him. Openly against one another, the Court and Clan bit and nipped at each other. The northern forests of the Court was burned and Inferni was raided by a group of Courtiers. The final battle in Halifax that caused more than just a little bloodshed was interrupted by Vesper and Silvano, who had met in an attempt to save both groups in the light of truth. The instigator of Inferni disappeared and Pascal was returned from his seemingly unrelated imprisonment. Both parties left to lick their wounds.

The Courtiers returned and quiet life attempted to return to Cour des Miracles, though it is unlikely that the relationship between them and the Clan would truly become anything more than strained. 2015 had been a year of struggle and war, and it is doubtless that all hope for a far more peaceful and productive 2016.
