Cour des Miracles

This year was a great year of tragedy for the Court. Though no wars plagued the little kingdom, several older, higher ranking members passed away for various reasons. Ayita, a longstanding matriarchal figure in the kingdom, passed away from her wounds from an attack by an unknown canine assailant. Not too long after that, the King, Vigilante passed on with away from his family not in the comfort of his own bed. Thirdly, the former Dauphin died in his sleep of unknown causes, mostly attributed to too much drink and melancholy.

It was also a year of changes; Silvano Sadira disposed the Dauphin and took his place as second-in-command. After the death of the King, Charlotte Haskel took the reins of the pack, much to the grumbling in the family - mostly among her own siblings. Together, they changed the ranking system, and once more in a slight way at the end of the year. By the end of the year the ranks were different, much more based on merit and earning positions, and the court had a King and Queen to rule them.

Life was flourishing and children growing. There may have been a few fewer faces in the pack, but those that were there were active, busy people. Cour des Miracles continues on strong, looking to the future with new lives and with old friends. A new southern cooperation between several packs, CDM, CDC, CDA, and AW promise to avoid the messy wars of the past and usher in an era of peace and quiet.
